Today we got a visit from Kevin Delahunty from An Taisce.
The Green Schools Committee was lucky enough to take part in a biodiversity workshop where we learnt about the importance of native Irish plants, flowers, birds and animals.
We watched videos and discussed some of ways in which plants and animals interact with one another and also about some of the threats to our ecosystem.
We had fun creating a web to show how rivers, plants, insects and animals are all connected.
We hope to spread the word about what we learnt today and promote the preservation and protection of Ireland’s natural heritage and our native species.
