Latest update from Room 19

Latest update from Room 19

Hi everyone! It has been a very busy few months for us here in Room 19. We’ve included some photos of work we’ve been doing so make sure to check them out.

In Art we painted some trees at night. Our teacher thought they were excellent and we think we did a pretty good job on them too!

We also worked in groups during SPHE with some girls working as interviewers.

We made parachutes in Science and even got to launch them off the stairs. This was really exciting!

We also learned all about World War 1 in History. We did some really good projects on it using the iPads to help us research some facts about the “War to end all Wars.”

We also learned about hydraulics and pneumatics in Science and worked in groups to open a box with just a balloon and pump.

In PE we started a cycling course and we are really enjoying it so far. We’ve been learning about turning properly on a bike, obeying road signs, safety in cycling and using hand signals. Even Ms Leddy got on a bike!

In Maths we learned all about length and really enjoyed measuring things in the classroom using different types of measuring equipment.

Just before midterm, we held a bake sale for St. Francis Hospice and raised over €500. Thank you to everyone who supported it.

Thank you for reading our latest update!
