November in Room 19

November in Room 19

Yet another busy month for us here in Room 19!

We loved Science Week. We had a Forensic Science Workshop where we had to use clues like finger prints and evidence to solve the crime. It was so much fun!

We got to build Lego robots and use our coding skills on the iPads to make the robots move. It was brilliant and we loved doing this.

In History, we learned all about the Aztecs. We did projects on them and even made Aztec headdresses. We think we look great in them!

We had a wonderful visit from the Graffiti Classics orchestra. One of our girls even got to conduct the entire group! She did a brilliant job and we were so proud of her!

In Maths, we worked really hard on fractions. We used fraction walls, fraction pieces, fraction circles and equivalent fraction cards and lots more activities. We also used the iPads to help us with our understanding of equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions as well as completing some challenges. This was lots of fun.

Finally we made felt penguin puppets in Art. We used needles and wool and stitched them together and cut out and glued on felt for his body and face. This was really fun.

Have a look at some pictures from November. We hope you enjoy!
