School Closure Suggested Activities/Ideas

Below are a list of 25 suggested activities/ideas that could be carried out at home while the school is closed. These are only suggestions, there is no pressure to get these completed!.

1. Keep a diary and write a few sentences in it each day.

2. Take a nature walk outside and try to notice some signs of Spring.

3. Write a letter to your teacher telling her about what you have been getting up to.

4. The Body Coach PE lessons each morning at 9am on the following website:

5. World Book Online: There are over 3,000 ebooks and audiobooks available for free for children to access at home:!/

6. Lego Challenges: Build a rainbow, Build a pyramid, Build a simple machine, Build a tower, Build a pencil holder and Build a castle

7. Pair your socks!

8. Make a quiz and do it with your family

9. Read for 20 minutes daily

10. Put on your favourite song and dance!

11. Help to make lunch or dinner

12. Make up a wordsearch

13. Take a GoNoodle Break:

14. Spend some time outside every day

15. Play a card game and/or Learn a new card game

16. Make a comic strip

17. Do some mindful drawing and colour it in

18. Make an obstacle course

19. Create a map of your area

20. Create a treasure hunt around your house for your family

21. Write a book review on the latest book you’ve read

22. Upcycle old clothes to make something new

23. Science Experiments –

24. Create a script for a play and act it out with your family

25. Play a game of ‘I Spy’
