Seashells and Sand….Bull Island Fieldtrip

Seashells and Sand….Bull Island Fieldtrip

Recently the Greenschools Committee was invited by Niamh Ní Cholmáin from Dublin City Council Biodiversity Department to participate in an exploration of the Bull Island Biosphere. It was a scorching hot day and perfect conditions to enjoy this amazing place.  We walked over the wooden bridge at Dollymount to eventually meet with Niamh and her team on the strand. We learned about the biosphere, the wildlife, flora, seashells and litter. We has a sea shell hunt, explored in the dunes and collected some litter. It was such great fun.  Thank you to Niamh and Dublin City Council.
