September in Room 19

September in Room 19

September has been very busy for the girls in Room 19! Take a look at a few of the highlights of our first month in 6th Class.

We enjoyed learning about Native Americans, especially making totem poles using recycled materials.

Bernie facilitated a fantastic Drama lesson to help us explore the lives of Native Americans. We learned about spirit quests and the smudging ritual.

It has been wonderful to work and play with our buddies in 2nd Class!

We are so lucky to have a full class set of iPads this year! The girls have enjoyed using them to read about early Christian Ireland, code using Lightbot, play literacy and numeracy games and to answer quiz questions on Kahoot.

On 20th September we participated in the Strike for Climate Action. As a Green School sustainability is important to us and we expect positive action from world governments.

The girls in Ms. Gallagher’s 5th Class made fun Maths board games and were kind enough to let us play them!

We’re already so excited about the fun we are going to have in October!
